Succession Planning: Roadmap for the Next Generation of Leaders

This workshop provides HR professionals with a path for developing a sustainable organization across
multiple generations of leaders. Some succession plans become known as “SPOTS” – Succession Plans
on the Top Shelf – because they are long on theory and short on practical application. As a result of
participating in this workshop, those attending will leave a deeper appreciation of how to build on the
interdependency of:
• Organizational Mission, Vision, and Values;
• Solid Financial and Business Planning;
• Strong Business Performance;
• Leadership Continuity;
• Successor Identification and Development;
• Management Synergy and Teamwork; and,
• Organizational Dynamics and Governance.

Participants will be exposed to concrete examples of how companies and organizations purposely
implement succession planning to build the value of the organization by balancing the “what we need to
do” with the “and this is how we do it.”
