Decoding Leadership Change
This presentation introduces participants to connections between leadership, life sciences, and complexity. First, the presenter will discuss various myths and traps such as "the oracle myth" (the idea that one leader can draw the vision for the organization), "the superman myth" (the idea that one leader can do it all), and the "reductionism myth" (the idea that one can understand the problems faced by an organization by analyzing one issue at a time). Then, the presenter will discuss the nature of the leader likely to succeed in this new complex and adaptive organizational environment.
When: Thursday, 5/6, 12-1 pm
